The story of Joseph is one of the most amazing accounts in Biblical literature (Genesis 37:1-36; 39:1 — 50:26). In spite of terrible afflictions, troubles, betrayal and abandonment, here is a young man who trusts the LORD at every turn of life. The two dream prophecies ultimately found their fulfillment in his life in divine purpose and meaning. Three words describe his journey of faith— pit, prison and palace. However, what is even more amazing is how Joseph’s relationship to his brothers is a perfect pattern of Jesus’ relationship to His Jewish brethren, both at His first coming, and at His second coming.
