Ephesians - As a Jewish Marriage Contract

Ephesians: As A Jewish Marriage Contract - 12 weeks

The Ephesian scroll reveals the great mystery of the Church as the Bride of the LORD Jesus Christ, the Bridegroom. The true Church is the Body of Christ of which Jesus is the Head. The Greek word for ‘Church’ means ‘the called out ones’. The Father’s plan for today is that He is calling out from the nation of Israel and the nations of the earth, individuals who will become a part of the Bride of Christ. In this light, Ephesians should be viewed as a Ketubah, i.e., a marriage contract. As a legal document, it outlines what the Bridegroom promises His Bride in ‘a Bride’s Bill of Rights’, Ephesians 1-3, and it also details what the Bridegroom expects of His Bride, Ephesians 4-6. Join us for a twelve week study, learning the Jewish Wedding Patterns and then understanding this marriage document according to its Jewish background.
