Rev. Gordon Davis
Gordon was saved at the Oakland Neighborhood Church, CA, at the age of twenty one, just after being discharged from the Army Air Force. He served as Christian Education Director and the young married group leader while attending Simpson College of the Bible and Golden Gate Theological Seminary. Upon graduating with a degree in Theology majoring in church history he continued to work on his M. Div. and left his engineering job to go into full time ministry. He was ordained in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. During his time of ministry he founded San Francisco's Neighborhood Church in 1955 serving there for thirteen years. He then went on to serve as pastor of the Cedar Avenue Baptist Church in San Bruno, CA for eight years. Gordon then returned to the business world and established an insurance agency in San Francisco while continuing to serve the Lord in many ways. Upon retiring he as moved to Buffalo, his wife Sharon's (nee Lee) home town. Gordon still has a passion for God's Word and mentorship. They have three grown children in California and Minnesota and Washington.
